We live in a fast-paced world filled with experiences and encounters.
For artists, personal experiences and encounters become motifs.
Gwacheon City, Gyeonggi Province.
Since opening in 1969, Korea's National Museum of Contemporary Art has become the most influential
museum in the country.
Currently, it's showing "New Visions and New Voices" by
young artists.
As a member of society, young artists meet people, and forge personal ties.
Their encounters and subsequent experiences are captured in art.
Often, their experiences don't involve other people.
When it comes to people... how much trust and faith can we put in others?
That's the question posed by artist Park Jae-young.
In his works, Beak Jung-ki examines the relationship between visual images and materials.
In modern life, time is said to be of the essence.
It's also the essence of this piece by artist Baak Je.
Literally and figuratively, the artist bought time.
For Baak, time is perspective.
Through art, Baak assesses the true value of time and money.
And, their relationship
to people.
Entering the workforce is a way of life.
And by doing so, new relationships
are formed.
By nature, humans are social beings, and we seek out one another.
Relationships are forged everyday and everywhere.
They bring smiles and tears to people's faces and inspiration to artists.
