Good evening bloggers. So, if you've been following me you know that I write about movies
on my blog, Movies Eye See. And I am particularly excited about last nights Oscars ,it was phenomenal.
But there is something I want to take a few minutes and just bring out, something that
absolutely touched my heart and hopefully if you watch it will touch yours too. Lupida
Nyoung'o played in Twelve Years a Slave. She was amazing! Amazing, and when I say that
I am talking about her character that she displayed during her speech. Now, she won
an Oscar, for supporting actress, she beat Julia Roberts and a couple of other big name
actresses and literally watching her speech took me back to the movie because I saw the
movie and I loved it as well took me back to the movie and it really brought me back
to the scenes that she was in and how good she did. I new she did ok I said oh man this
girl can act but, they showed a clip and if you haven't seen the movie go see it I'm not
going to say much about because I really want you to see it I don't want to spoil it for
you. But Lupida plays this little girl on a plantation that picks cotton faster than
anybody else she picks more than anybody else and on top of that the slave master is sleeping
with her. So obviously, the wife knows it and treats her horribly, and she literally
in one scene in this spectacular movie takes the whole movie and she's the supporting actress
and it was almost as if in that segment that she spoke the movie was specifically about
her. She changed the whole movie with her voice her facial expressions you could read
if she was deaf, exactly what she wanted to say she did a fantastic job of playing little
Patsy in this movie. All in all what really drew me to her again was her speech. Her speech
reminded me of the Jennifer Garners reminded me of the Julia Roberts reminded me of every
other actress that just go their feet in the water and really loves acting. You saw the
passion. You saw the respect for the art. You saw the respect for the people that allowed
her to do it. She displayed all that in her speech and it just blew my mind. She was poetic
I don't even think she tried to be that was just her she was poetic and hearing her speech
obviously she is very learned she has to be very educated. she talks about Yale acting
school and if so they did a great job in grooming and brooding her I literally fell in love
with her and she is a very dark skinned girl its not popular in this day and age especially
in acting and for her to get an Oscar. I know it opened up many eyes of young girls even
boys that have this complex about their skin. Go see this movie if you like the movies I
choose the movies I right about you are not going to be disappointed with Twelve Years
a Slave. Chitwetel is his first name Solomon is who he played the movies about him he did
a great job go see this movie have a good one
