Hi, in this video, I'm going to walk you through what tools you need to effectively screen
print. Obviously, you'll need a screen. The only rule in screen printing is always put
your screen down on a surface with the frame. Never like this or you'll risk the chance
of popping a hole in your screen. You need a squeegee. You need ink and all the bits
and pieces that go into mixing your ink. Extender and retarder. Extender will extend the ink,
the color of your ink. Retarder retards your ink, which means that it makes it wetter for
longer. You'll need whatever you're going to use as an image on your screen. And then
you also need whatever tool you're going to use to help to block the image on your screen.
It could be screen filler. It could be drawing fluid. It could be photo emulsion, if you're
doing a photo transfer.
