Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com and I'm going to talk about how to write a
corporate sponsorship proposal. A corporate sponsorship proposal is a letter or a written
document where you are asking a company to support your cause. Particularly sponsorship
might imply that you have an event that you are looking for someone to be a funder, and
in exchange you will recognize them a sponsor of the event. So, to write a proposal to a
company I begin by finding out some a little bit more about the guidelines the ways in
which they like to receive a proposal of this type. Often this information will be on their
website or if they have a community relations director or contact you can receive the information
from that person. So write your proposal in the format that the company has requested
to receive this kind of request. You also want to be sure to include a lot about what's
in it for the company. They want to know why it's worth it for them to sponsor you. So
include any way that you'll recognize them. For example if you'll have a banner with the
companies name at the event or you'll print their name on any giveaways that you have
at the even, any ways that the company will receive recognition for their sponsorships
be sure to include that. In your proposal you should also talk about the similarities
between the mission of your organization and the mission of that company in your community.
You might both have the same goal of making your community a better place to love, or
you may both try to reach the same audience. You may serve children in your potential sponsor
also serves children. So, make a connection between your work and the work of this company
in order so that they can see a partnership between your organization and their company
is an excellent idea. So, just to summarize, write a professional proposal in the format
that the company has requested it, make a point about how your company, the company
and your mission are similar and describe how you'll recognize them for their sponsorship.
