Hi. This is Lisa Kalner Williams from Sierra Tierra Marketing at sierratierra.com. Today
I'm going to show you how to upload an image to Pinterest and having folks click through
to the URL of your choice. This works great if you have a lot of articles that don't have
pictures or don't have Pinterest-friendly pictures. You can create your own and then
when people click through, they go right to the site. So this is, I think, a three-step
process. What you'll do here is click the plus sign next to your icon and name. You're
going to upload a pin. And you're going to choose an image from your computer. And I
have one here called "My blog." Selected that. And you'll need to put a description. I'm
going to say "Go to my blog for great social media marketing tips." And I'm going to pin
it. Now, at this point, you might say, "How are people going to click through?" How do
you know what Website folks can go to? Let me explain how that happens. There is an extra
step involved. What you'll do here is, once you see the pin, you'll click the edit button.
That little pencil. And here, you'll put, in my case, sierratierra.com. Just to let
you know, Pinterest is not a big fan of URL shorteners like bit.ly and ow.ly. So whenever
possible, put the real, full URL. So I did that. I saved the changes. And now, when someone
clicks through, they should be led to my Website. There we go! sierratierra.com. And that is
how you do it! That is how you upload an image with a URL to Pinterest. This is Lisa Kalner
Williams from Sierra Tierra Marketing. I will see you at the next video.
