>> Hi and welcome to a new tutorial,
today I'll show you how to recycle plastic plates like this
and turn them into earrings and necklaces using your favourite images.
To work on this tutorial we will need:
some plastic plates,
some images printed on paper,
some scissors,
some Mod Podge,
some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic,
a Crop-a-dile,
some bijoux pliers,
a metal chain,
some medium jump rings,
some small jump rings,
some hooks,
some lobster clasps 0:00:47.34,0:00:49.090 and some glue.
Let's start by cutting the plastic plate edges
to obtain some flat parts.
Now let's cut out the images printed on paper!
Let's apply a layer of glue on the plastic
and adhere the images.
Let's now take the Mod Podge
and using a sponge let's cover all the images
in order to prepare them for the following steps.
Let's let it dry for a while
and let's start cutting out the images adhered to the plastic.
Now let's apply a layer of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
on all the images we cut out
to give a glossy look and protect them.
We need to let the Mod Podge Dimensional magic dry for some hours
until it hardens up completely.
Using the Crop-a-dile
let's punch some holes
to place the hooks for the earrings
and the jump rings for the necklaces.
We can now assemble the parts.
Let's take the hooks and using the pliers
let's assemble them to the earrings
finishing them up.
For the necklace
let's use the larger jump rings
and always using the pliers
let's fit them on the sides of our pendant.
Let's now take the chain
and hooking one side to the pendant
let's measure the desired length
and let's cut it using the pliers.
To finish the assembly
let's hook the other side of the chain
to the pendant.
Now let's work on a different necklace!
For this model we need to connect the 3 records
using the smaller jump rings
like this!
As we did before
let's hook the chain on one side,
let's measure the desired length,
and let's cut it with the pliers.
We can now connect it to the pendant.
As this is a choker necklace
we have to place a lobster clasp.
So let's cut the chain in the middle
and let's assemble the clasp using a small jump ring like this.
Et voilà the necklace is made!
