In addition to outlining the seventh chord, and playing off of those tones, you can embellish
this, and this is our first step towards this. This is not the end-all, be-all of things,
but it is certainly good foundation for outlining any chord progression. We go to the root,
then the second step of the scale. And that's depending on what position you're in. So,
we're going two, five, one. And I'll show you that. And then what you're going to do,
is you're going to go to the third step of that respective scale, and then you're going
to go to the five. So for D, for instance, so we'll do a two, five and C...D to G to
C. My third is minor here, because I'm dealing with a minor chord and therefore a minor scale...a
Dorian scale, in this instance. D, E, F natural, A, and then G. We have G, A, B natural, D,
because those are present in the Myxilanian G scale. And then, one, two, three, five and
C.
