at the umansky law firm, everybody deserves a second chance
hi, my name is lindsay gergely and I work with the
recently i had a client who was charged with a violation of probation
a case where my client plead to a driving under the influence charging got
put on probation for this charge
due to some financial problems that he was having he wasn't able to
complete a lot of the conditions that he got his probation violated.
Early in 2012 the client's dad called us and indicated that he was in
jail on a violation of probation.
We were hired on the case
I think it was around January, late January of 2012.
We subsequently got him out of jail very quickly and started working with
the client to get his
violation, to get the conditions of his original probation done.
We had several meetings with the judge. This case is been going on for almost
a year, where we have going back to the judge and getting a client to
complete all of his conditions of probation.
One of the things that took the longest was to get a condition where he had to complete a
substance abuse evaluation and recommended treatment. So, that took a while.
Fortunately the State Attorney's office, the judge and the probation officer
that was assigned to this case worked with us
And they were very patient with my client. So, as he got the money he was able to complete
the conditions. We recently went to court and we got the whole violation on probation case
dismissed.
