Hello, I'm Colin Fallesen and here are the international LGBT news headlines from Pinksixty.
Uganda has come under a barrage of criticism over its draconian new anti-gay law.
The Netherlands, Denmark and Norway immediately announced the suspension of aid and the US
government said Uganda had taken a step backward.
A survey of Sex in Prison has found that female prisoners in British jails are being coerced
into having sex with staff.
However, a Prison spokeswoman said: “...incidents of *** assault in prison are rare.”
An attempt to repeal a Californian law which allows transgender students access to facilities
of their choice will not proceed to a November ballot.
The National Organization for Marriage failed to get enough signatures to qualify for a
vote.
A Russian court has dismissed a charge of promoting non-traditional *** relations
against activist, Elena Klimova.
Ms Klimova had set up Children 404, an online social page where Russian LGBT teenagers can
support each other.
And finally, the Open Games begin tournaments in Moscow tomorrow.
US diving champion Greg Louganis and the Dutch Sports Minister, Edith Schippers are attending
