In this video we are going to use a line
to trace the route
that the airplane should follows
We are going to use the same file
we worked on the previous video.
First, we select
the drawing tool.
We check the tool's parameters
to create only the line.
Then we trace the route
that the airplane will follow.
Let's call this layer "route".
We now open the group
that contains the airplane's layers,
we select the first layer,
we right click on it
and add
a rotation layer.
This is on New Layers,
Transform, Rotate.
We are going to connect
the blue rotation control,
the green origin control
of the plane
and the line that mark the route.
In the list of layers
we select the route,
the airplane's layer
and the rotation layer.
Once the layers are selected
we can select the controls.
Press the Ctrl controls
and select them
with the left button of the mouse.
Then we do right click
over the line that mark the route
and select "link to SPline".
The airplane will start
moving on second 1.
So, we create
a new keyframe.
Then we go to second number 3
and activate the animation mode.
We move the origin control of the plane
until the start position.
Let's see the result.
The plane follows the route
and due to the rotation layer
turn when necessary.
Let's hide the route
so it doesn't show up in the final animation.
Thanks for watching the video.
In the following video
we are going to make the plane
write Synfig in the sky.
