My village is beautiful and I am proud that
I was born on these lands.
Over the years there have been visible changes
due to projects undertaken in the community.
City Hall is now headquartered in the village center.
So this is how St. Nicholas Church in Gemenele looks like.
Illuminated at night, the church looks like a jewel.
During the Epiphany, horses are being baptized,
a practice deeply rooted in the community.
The image of the school was also changed.
Near the school is the health center
The Cultural House, since it was built until now,
has hosted many cultural activities.
Inside you can find the library
where “Biblionet” internet Center works.
Children easily find the requested information.
Books are arranged onto shelves in alphabetical order of authors and fields.
The “Biblionet” receives daily users
with different informational needs
which they easily find solutions to by using the Internet for free.
In the library were also held numerous activities
such as the program “Scoala altfel”,
developed by students.
They watched movies and stories specific to their age.
In partnership with the Popular School of Arts
and Crafts-Vespasian Lungu Braila
an external class was set up,
where students from Gemenele Secondary School,
in addition to their occupation,
learn how to unravel the mysteries of traditional Romanian dances and customs.
So was born the folk dance ensemble festival Constantin Condruz
and the inter-county competition at Port longing.
Weekly on Sundays, the House of Culture holds rehearsals with children.
You can see the success and reward for their work
in the prizes they win wherever they go.
I can proudly say that this ensemble has grown under my eyes.
