Hello everyone!
So today, I will present a new object.
So this new object is ... not a tactical flashlight.
Or at least it is not only a tactical flashlight It is the AN/PEQ-16A of the ELEMENT.
Some information to find it on the Internet and the QR code.
When you receive and open the package, you have the stickers. You should know that I've opened the package to go faster and I've pasted the stickers.
There are only stickers for black model. I took the Tan model (desert).
Remote pressure switch that connects behind the AN/PEQ-16A.
The scratch sticker to attach the presure switch on Battlegrip, an AEG body, RIS, RAS ...
And Finally, the PEQ-16A. So while I unpack it, two things :
First, I do not know if this is the shop Tiger111HK or ELEMENT but the fact is that the product was well packaged.
The second, for ELEMENT: a manual would have been welcome. I had to search information on the Internet (IR and battery).
So here's the Peq-16A in color & stickers Tan (desert). The plastic looks good.
The stickers are less yellow than those seen on the Internet.
I searched for pictures on the net to see how put it well. The colors and text appear faithful to the original.
So it fits on a Picatinny rail 20mm.
You put it where you want: front, top, RIS, RAS, etc ... You unscrew, screw and clip it.
At the front, you have one side of the LED bulb, announced 90 lumens. Beautiful light.
On the other side, there are three ports: a blue light, a red laser and an IR lamp ... finally a small IR lamp.
We will come back later.
The top, the little part to switch from one mode to another (lamp, laser, OFF, the blue lamp).
Unscrew the blue screw to access the IR lamp.
The snap to turn on and off constantly.
Finally, to the rear, batteries.
As usual, 2 x CR123A, not included.
For batteries, it's like MSA Sordin. The batteries will be set as in the picture, one on the other.
Attention ! The first like this. Hop.
Will I get there? Yeah.
And the second.
We will take the opportunity to put the switch.
So let's start at the beginning. So normally it is the lamp. 90 lumens.
The pressure button.
Red laser. I don't use it.
The eyes do not like it and it was not much use in Airsoft.
The OFF position. There's nothing happens.
The blue light . Useful to move with discretion.
Because with the LED, you will spotted from miles away.
It allows you to move without being seen, and you keep your eyes accustomed to the darkness.
So once you get there, you have to unscrew the little blue screw.
So while I unscrewed, I do this review with Mechanix gloves.
I do not know if they are "Standard" or "Original" but these are the first models they did.
Mine are reissue by cons.
It's really very good gloves and if I can do review with my gloves, you can use it on the Battlefield.
The little blue screw and so we pass in IR. We will not see anything by naked eye But camera see it.
Very light this IR lamp. Need a test with NVG, if you have the right (I can't)
Not sure there is a utility Airsoft.
At the end, it seems to be a good quality product that you can keep for a while.
Good plastic, good color, good materials. Good product and a good investment.
So before i mount it, I wanted to compare sizes between Peq-16A and Peq-2.
This is the G&P copy, red laser version. It is for me the best existing copy and I have it since many years.
A very good working copy that I use for at least three years.
So here once Peq mounted on the rail.
Lamp.
Laser.
Off
And light blue for a discrete progression.
And returns to Off.
