A new active shooter app for schools.. An elderly woman’s death takes a bizarre turn..
And wonder what anheuser busch is planning for the super bowl?
That and more .. Today in the sift. Welcome to the sift.. I’m gabrielle biondo,
filtering through some of the most talked about stories in st. Louis.
A new tool for “active shooter” emergencies was just launched in a columbia, illinois
school. Fox2 says the drill took place after school
where someone posed as an active shooter. By simply pushing a button on a smartphone,
the app instantly calls 911, alerts on and off-duty police officers within 10 miles of
the attack, and sends a map to officers and school staff pinpointing the origin of the
emergency. All in 3 to 6 seconds. The schoolguard app initially costs 25- hundred
dollars, then 99 dollars a month. And this sounds like a CSI episode.
After an elderly woman was found frozen to death in her Glen Carbon driveway.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports investigators are now digging up land around the home.
They say the woman did die from last week’s cold temps, but her death sparked a tipster
to tell police about other possible criminal activity on the property.
Are you ready for the Super Bowl? Anheuser-Busch is, and they’re saying part
of what they’re planning is to continue the storyline from last year’s lovable ad.
Remembers this? More to come February 2nd.
Overall, KMOV reports that A-B will run five ads and has bought three and half minutes
of ad time, estimated to cost approximately 28 million dollars.
And from beautiful clydesdales to adorable dogs.
Have you seen this pup? Fox 2 reports residents at a Missouri assisted
living home are hoping someone finds Avery, an 18-month-old basset hound.
The therapy dog has been missing almost a month and her owner fears she was stolen.
Avery has black spots on her back that resemble mickey mouse.
