Hi I'm Rachel. I'm here today to show you how to make a fishtail rubber band bracelet
without using a loom. To get started today you'll need just a few key supplies. You'll
need rubber bands. I chose red and green. You'll need c-clips or jump rings and you'll
need a crochet hook. I'm using size G. Now, if you're going to use jump rings make sure
you have two pairs of pliers to work with later. To begin take a red rubber band and
slide it through a jump ring. Fold the rubber band in half like this. Pick up your crochet
hook and slide it through the two loops you just made. Pick up a red and green rubber
band. hook them on the end of the crochet hook and pull through the two loops. You want
the red rubber bands to be on the outside so take the green and pull them into the middle.
Pick up a green rubber band, catch it on the end and slide it though all four loops. At
this point you're going to go back through and pick up the red loops and slide the end
of the green rubber band back onto the crochet hook. I finished my bracelet so that it's
around 7 inches long. At this point you want to use your crochet hook as a placeholder.
Go ahead and lay it down on the table. Pick up your pliers, open your jump ring by twisting
away, don't pull apart. Twist away. I used 18mm jump rings for extra security. Slide
the rubber bands off the crochet hook and onto the jump ring. Close the jump ring. And
now you're finished. With just a little bit of effort you just made an awesome fishtail
rubber band bracelet. Thanks for watching, we hope you stop by again soon.
