I am Stefano Bandini, and I'm a photographer.
I was born in Milan in 1965 and my big passion for photography comes from
comes from my family. My father used to be a lithograph printer
In my house we had always these huge prints
hanging on the walls, and so I grew up watching
graphic art. In the same time my father managed
a gallery,
so I used to meet a lot of uh...
Italian artists
and from that I think I had this imprinting of...
"square things in which you have to put some elements and compose an image".
I took part to
a workshop with
Paolo Pellegrin
I try to explore Japanese society.
I like
digging into social problems so recently I'm doing...
I'm taking a lot of pictures about Kamagasaki.
When you go there the sovra-structures of Japanese
society... Everything is cancelled and everything is more "natural"...
for us, as Westerners.
My style - which is something I am aiming to -
I like to go beyond rules
composition rules, I try to forget them
and so express something different moving the camera
while taking pictures,
rather than keeping the camera still
the focusing
while taking pictures...
Next job I would like to
do about Japan is...
about businessmen.
I'd love to get into a company
and try to shoot there.
I really don't know how to define my own pictures
I think...
That is more than I ever...
It's really difficult to define my own pictures. I think...
