Welcome to this short explanatory video on how to update
or review your banking details in your Computershare account.
This video includes information on how to enter your bank details
into your Computershare account;
the different types of banking accounts
where Computershare can send funds;
how to enter the details of your banking account accurately;
as well as what to do if you have to use an intermediary bank.
Having accurate banking details in the Computershare system
is very important.
Please therefore put aside some time to input your information
or to check that any details which you have entered into the system already
remain correct.
How to update or review your banking details
To update or review your banking details,
you must first log into your Computershare account on
www.computershare.com/employee/shellsharea wards
and enter your Global ID and PIN.
If you cannot find your Global ID or PIN,
then see the Where Do I Get My Global ID And PIN video
for more information.
Once in your account, select Banking Details
under the My Details tab at the top of the screen.
Choosing the correct banking account
Depending on the share type that you have been awarded or are wishing to sell
there are different types of banking accounts
where Computershare can send funds.
You therefore need to make sure that you choose the correct type of banking account
based on your share type.
Please refer to the grid
to make sure that you choose one of the following three options.
Updating an international non-UK bank account
After clicking Amend International Wire Instructions
on the Banking Details screen,
select International Wire from the drop-down menu.
From the drop-down menu select the country where your bank account is held,
and click Next.
Before entering your details,
you will need to read and agree to Computershare's Global Payments Agreement.
Click the I Agree radio button, and then click Next to proceed.
Select the currency in which you wish to have payments made
to your bank account.
It is important that you make sure
your bank account can accept your chosen currency.
Then enter the following information:
- SWIFT code - Bank name
- Bank address - Account number
Please ensure that you have these to hand before starting the process.
These can usually be found on your banking statement or similar correspondence.
You will then be advised of any additional information you need to submit,
such as your bank's telephone number.
Click Next.
Check the banking details you have entered are accurate.
Once you are satisfied that all your details are correct,
enter your PIN and click Submit to confirm your choice
and review the confirmation screen.
Special note for US and Canadian banks
You must supply your SWIFT code or BIC.
It is not possible to leave this blank
or use your US ABA routing number
or Canadian transit number instead.
You can usually find your SWIFT code on a statement from your bank.
Alternatively, contact the bank directly to confirm the code.
Updating a UK bank account
After clicking Amend Banking Details
on the banking details screen,
select United Kingdom Mandate from the drop-down menu.
Then select Next.
Then enter the following information:
- Sort code - Account number
- Account name
Please ensure that you have these to hand before starting the process.
These can usually be found on your banking statement or similar correspondence.
Click Next.
Check the banking details you have entered are accurate.
Once you are satisfied that all your details are correct,
enter your PIN and click Submit to confirm your choice
and review the confirmation screen.
Updating a Global Direct Credit account
for US Dollar to US Dollar transaction
Please note that Global Direct Credit
is currently only available in US Dollars
and only if you are participating in a plan
whereby you will receive RDS.A ADR stock.
After clicking Amend Global Direct Credit Instructions,
select Global Direct Credit from the drop-down menu.
Then click Next.
Select United States from the drop-down menu and click Next.
Before entering your details,
you will need to read and accept the Global Payments Agreement
by clicking the I Agree radio button and then clicking Next.
Once accepted, then please enter the following information:
- Routing Transit Number (RTN)
- Account number
- Bank name
- Name of account holder
The RTN is a nine-digit bank code used in the USA
to identify banking institutions when processing electronic transactions.
Please ensure that you have these to hand before starting the process.
These can usually be found on your banking statement or similar correspondence.
Then click Next.
Check the Global Direct Credit details you have entered into the website are accurate.
Once you are satisfied that all your details are correct,
enter your PIN and click Submit to confirm your choice
and review the confirmation screen.
Updating your banking details when using an intermediary bank
If your bank requires an intermediary or further credit details,
then you must contact Computershare directly.

Or, if you are in the US, dial 1-866-201-4448.
They will provide you with alternative details for completing this process.
