In veg news, Finland celebrates veganism. VegFest2010, Finland’s second vegan festival,
took place for three days in the historical town of Tampere. Tents and booths filled the
Central Marketplace displaying information about how to halt climate change and protect
animal welfare through the vegan diet of kindness. Talks were given on the benefits of a compassionate
lifestyle, and cruelty-free fashion was also exhibited. Movies about vegetarianism, art
works, and music were also included in the event. Outside in the lovely weather, hundreds
of individuals and families enjoyed delicious plant-based meals provided by local vegan
caterers. Bravo, organizers, sponsors, and participants in Finland’s VegFest2010. May
we see many more occasions such as these around the world to share the great news about the
Earth-saving way of vegan living.
