Have a look at these really really cool portable speakers from the folks at LaCie,
and what makes these more unique than most, is not only their physical because they actually
look really really cool, but usually manufacturers don't put a whole lot of thought into the design
of their speakers. These are actually designed by Neil Poulton.
If you're a big fan of Neil's you'll be a big fan of these speakers.
They are USB powered, and they will actually show up as a USB audio device on your system
as well. So you don't have to plug them in like the headphone or speaker output on your computer
and, you don't have to plug them into a power source, because they will be powered
by the USB Bus on the system. They're completely portable,
they do come with a... Portable case here, you will throw your speakers in these and take them
on the road with you, anywhere you go. And they're also really really easy to set up.
They don't require drivers. Literally all you have to do is plug the USB port,
the USB plug which is built into the bottom, right here you can see there's a spool on the bottom,
USB port plug is right here, and this plugs into the USB port on your system,
on the other speaker you'll see another spool, this simply connects the 2 speakers together.
So you pull this out here, hook this into the speaker over here,
right here at the bottom you'll see, it's very easily labeled too.
See, it says "Speaker" right there. Right there. So you just plug in the speaker right here,
and you're good. Literally that's all you need to do. Once you have it plugged into your system
you go into your Windows control panel, you choose to use these speakers as your audio
output device, and that's all you have to do. No CDs, no drivers, they'll work in any system
that you plug them into, you don't have to plug them in for power, you don't have to plug them
into the headphone port, they're completely portable and they actually look,
really really sharp. So you can see that the folks at LaCie have put a lot of thought,
into the design and the sound of these. They actually sound really really good.
Really low power, just 2.5 watts, but, they actually sound really good,
and that's due to the tubular design on these, you know...
You know, not like tubular cool, but tubular.. Everyone's really disappointed that I brought
that joke out. I can see that, 'cause it's just not funny.
Doesn't really matter though. So check out these tubular speakers!
From the folks at LaCie, right now, really sound good, really look cool,
which is something that's rare. You don't find small compact speakers that look cool,
very often. So the USB powered speakers from LaCie. Right here.
