My name is Jason, I'm with Hi-Tech Window Cleaning and in this segment I'm going to
show you different types of squeegees that we use in our line of work. The first thing
that we use that most people use nowadays, and it's somewhat new, within the last ten
years or so, it's made by Sorbo, and it's actually a very thick channel, you can basically
drop it off of a five story building, and it'll retain its shape. A lot of problems
with channels is they'll bend, you don't really realize it and it doesn't clean the glass
effectively. Another thing about Sorbo, is it has different levels for the rubber to
go into. You can actually trim the rubber down with a specialty cutter and move the
rubber up. It's also important to have your clips in, on the ends, and that holds the
rubber where you need it to be. A lot of people prefer to have it flush with the edge, a lot
of people like a quarter of an inch overhang. It's really up to the person, and what kind
of windows you're doing, types of frames, the way the rubber seals are, things of that
nature. As you use it, you can move it however it works best for you. It also swivels and
that helps when you're doing pole work and I'll get to that later. And, I'll continue
in the next step.
