On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Paul Louis and today I am going to give you
musical theatre audition tips. Okay, we are going to talk a little about what I like to
call waiting room etiquette. Now when you go to an audition, especially in small towns,
you are probably going to run in some friends of yours, other actors that have been doing
shows with you or that you’ve seen usually at auditions and you are going to be tempted
to start talking to them and you definitely don’t want to do that too much. Yes, say
hello, be polite but then go into your own little space and focus on your audition. Focus
on everything that you are going to do in that audition room. Now some people might
call you a snob because you are not talking to them too much at the audition. You know
what; you are there for one reason only, get that job. So regardless of what other people
think, you need to be in that whole mind set of focus, focus and focus. Focusing on task
at hand which is to go into that audition room and win that part.
