Hi, I'm going to show you how to access HP DreamScreen internet services such as
Weather, Facebook, and HP SmartRadio.
From the HP DreamScreen you can view only. You cannot post information or set
up a new account. You must do those things on your computer.
Please note that your HP DreamScreen may not exactly match the one we're
showing here
and the software screens might be different.
You must first set up your device to connect to the internet. See our network
connection video or the user guide on the CD for how to do that. Internet
connection is required and not provided by HP.
Let's start with Weather.
Select the Weather icon.
Press Option on the remote control and input your location.
Navigate to the zip code box with the arrow button,
then press OK to open the onscreen keyboard.
We'll put in our zip code, 95014,
then highlight the enter key and press OK with the remote control.
Navigate to the OK button on the screen and press OK with the remote control,
and there you go.
Now let's go back to the main screen by pressing and holding the Back button on
the remote control.
You'll see icons to other internet services
such as Facebook social networking, Pandora radio station, and
Snapfish photo sharing.
For these services you need to create your own account on your computer.
You cannot create accounts or upload content from the HP DreamScreen.
Do that from your computer first,
then you can access your account from the HP DreamScreen.
Let's look at the Facebook viewer.
Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life.
Select the Facebook icon and press OK.
Wait for it to load to the Welcome screen.
Press the Option button on the remote control to login.
Enter your account information.
Press OK to open the onscreen keyboard.
You can navigate the keyboard using the remote control or the frame touch controls.
You'll need to press the Enter key on the onscreen keyboard to close the
keyboard,
then navigate to the Password box.
Enter your password the same way.
You can see that the password is visible when you first enter it.
Select the Save Password box if you don't want to have to log in again
Press OK to confirm,
and press OK again.
Remember to go to www.facebook.com on your computer to
set up an account if you don't already have one.
From the HP DreamScreen you can view status updates, shared photos, and
upcoming events.
To post information and to use all the Facebook features, do so from your
computer.
To log into a different Facebook account or to uncheck the Save Password box, press
the Option button on the remote control when you're in the Facebook viewer to
open the account screen again.
Change the account information or uncheck the Save Password box,
and confirm and Press OK on the remote control.
Now let's look at HP SmartRadio
which provides access to all sorts of internet radio stations from all over
the world.
Press and hold the Back button to get to the Main Menu screen.
Select HP SmartRadio icon.
Press the Option button to search for a station.
Navigate through the controls.
We're going to search by location.
We're going to search for stations in the U.S.,
but you can look for stations from anywhere.
First select a letter.
Press the left arrow button to find "U",
then press the down arrow key and find U.S.A., then press OK.
We'll sort by popularity and select OK.
And here's a list of stations.
Scroll down and choose a radio station and add it.
Then press the Back button.
If you add more stations they'll be added to this list.
You may need to wait several seconds for the station signal to stream to your
device.
The station must have an active internet broadcast in progress,
otherwise you won't hear anything and you'll need to try another station.
To stop playing a station on the HP Smart Radio list, highlight the station,
press OK to see the speaker icon,
and then press the OK button again to turn it off.
To search for more radio stations,
go up and highlight the Stations tab,
then pass the Option button.
Have fun and explore the other internet services on your HP DreamScreen.
For more information you can find a user guide that came on the CD
or visit us at www.hp.com and be sure to watch our other videos.
Have a great day.
