I’ve studied electrical electronics engineering, so that’s the design of electrical and electronic
components. Being able to look at electrical and electronic devices and seeing how their
made the idea of how they were designed, it’s really cool to think of things like that.
I wouldn’t mind getting into research at CSIRO or Boeing and that could lead to NASA,
which may not happen, but it’s a goal. I found that having a group of friends at
university was very helpful. You could organise study sessions with them which we did a lot,
definitely before assignments were due and before exams. It was pretty easy to make friends
here because we were all studying the same thing, so we all had the same interests.
It feels really good to graduate, I’m really excited… it’s just an awesome feeling.
All of my family are coming too, so my parents, my fiancé, my brother and his fiancé and
my grandma. I think my fiancé is going to be pretty proud. She always stayed up with
me during those late night assignments so I had some company.
I definitely recommend USQ, especially if you are doing engineering. I’ve just learnt
so much here and have made lots of good friends. The lecturers want you to do well and are
very supportive, and it was just a good environment to be in. I am really excited that I finally
get to put what I learnt into practice and start using my degree.
