"What was your biggest concern about your student going to college?"
- Basically adapting to the Boston city environment
because it is a large city. - Well I was concerned that
whether he would like the classes and whether he would be able to
meet people who he could connect with here.
- I just wanted to make sure, you know, that the students were safe and comfortable and, you know,
felt free to move around in a
big metropolitan city.
- Adapting to the college community, making friends, making sure he was
comfortable and happy.
"What do you miss most about your student being away from home?"
- Our little evenings together at night. - His sense of humor.
- Well I miss everything about her, but basically I miss her cooking.
She used to bake a real lot and I loved that. - Going to movies.
- I miss his bubbly personality. - His company and being there and
being able
to kiss and hug him whenever I want to.
- I don't miss
him at all.
It's more quiet.
Now I have one son to deal with instead of two.
"If you could send them one thing from home, big or small, what would it be?"
- It would be dinner every night.
- Good food.
- Well today we got him some pots and pans. He wanted to do a little cooking himself.
- His cat.
- Her kitty.
Her fluffy kitty.
Yes, I'm always sending her pictures.
- The new dog we just got.
- A blanket. - Oh yeah, she needs another blanket. - It's cold. - Yeah, that's true.
