3rd Annual Mobile Computing Awareness Day WIU Union Heritage Room. The purpose of the event is to bring
awareness to mobile computing. And I think this year we're going to have some pretty good presentations.
[Paul Schlag]: The iPad, from my personal perspective has increased my personal productivity ten-fold. I have,
using Google Docs, created forms for grading all of the assignments that my students have to do.
[Kim Sikes]: WIU Mobile is the mobile application, and we developed it because we're seeing an increasing number
of students coming to campus with mobile technology, mobile devices.
And our goal was to figure out to communicate with these students when they are the go.
They are in between classes. They are walking from building to building.
And, you know, they have to make decisions, as they're walking, on what types of things they want to
do, what types of activities they want to participate in, those types of things.
So, we really wanted to provide a communication mechanism with those students
that can get them that information very quickly.
[Chad Dennis]: Well, you have to be there to win it. So you have to be present. There is one entry per
person. And we're going to be giving away three iPod Shuffles.
Third generation, I believe, but they are brand new Shuffles. And we're going to be giving away an iPad 2.
