Hi, I'm Pam on behalf of Expert Village and today I'm going to show you different art
projects for kids. Now if you're like me or any other teacher or parent, you get kind
of frustrated when you go out and you buy these markers and kids leave the lids off
of them and of course they dry up and you can't use them. Actually, you can. All you
have to do is take a dried up marker and add it to a cup of water and you get a water color
and the kids can actually use a brush in there and paint with it or with the water being
on the marker, they can take the actual marker and use it to color on the paper. The color
is going to be a little bit darker if you use the marker as opposed to the paint brush.
But when doing this, this is a great way to talk to kids about different art mediums and
textures that come from the different art things you use, for instance, if you use a
water color, it looks quite different than if you take regular paint and paint next to
it. The paint is thicker, it's harder, and paint is quite different from if you take
chalk and draw on a picture. Or, if you use a marker or a crayon, they're all different.
