Hi, how's it going? I'm Kevin Barrett and we're here in the wilderness of Malibu where
I'm going to teach you all about wilderness survival. Now, I'm going to teach you all
the different tricks and tips that you're going to need to know how to survive out here
in the great outdoors. In this first segment I'm going to teach you all about food and
water. I'm going to tell you statistics on dehydration, how much water your body actually
needs to hold out the day, the weeks, months, then we're going to go into purifying that
water. Say you need to find a water source, like I have behind me right here, is that
water ok to drink? I'm going to teach you all about that. I'm going to show you how
to make a homemade water purifier, I'm going to teach you how to do natural purification
through the actual earth, I'm also going to show you how to make your own homemade purifier
out of charcoal, sand, sticks and grass and all this junk, you're going to see how this
actually works. Also, I'm going to teach you how to catch your own food. This right here
is a bow, with an arrow, this is a very effective weapon. I'm going to teach you actually how
to make a bow and arrow, I'm going to teach you how to find game trails where you can
catch quail and other small animals, such as, rabbits and mice that are perfectly edible
to eat. Then, I'm also going to show you a couple of different fishing methods. If you're
near a lake or a river, not so much a creek like this, but I'm going to show you how to
find fish and how to catch those with fishing line, fish hooks, which you should always
bring in a survival pack. Also, I'm going to show you how to make a fishing skewer,
which you may have seen in movies like "Cast Away" where you throw a stick, basically,
at a fish, hoping to catch it. So, I'm going to teach you all about wilderness survival,
in this episode, food and water. Let's move on.
