During the manufacturing process of building new furnace systems,
there is quite a bit of oil left on the
heat exchangers and internal parts.
This oil will naturally burn off the first few times
you start your furnace.
While this is normal of all new furnaces,
some contractors deal with it differently.
Most of them will tell you to expect to see
the smoke come out of your system and that it will be normal.
They even joke that it's helpful in testing your smoke alarm system.
The smoke produced during this "burn-off" will actually leave
black stains on your walls, curtains, furniture, carpets, and flooring.
Even worse, the smoke can be harmful if
directly inhaled and smells like burnt oil.
We at Jerry Kelly are different.
We don't want that oily residue entering your home.
That's why we burn off the oil in our shop
so it won't stain your home and
you don't have to worry about breathing it.
Look at how much smoke comes off this brand new furnace.
Do you want that going into your home?
When it's time for a new furnace,
call Jerry Kelly so you don't have to worry about the
smoke, mess, and hazards created by the oily residue.
