Hello. Hello, Rinat. -Hello, Yohanan.
We're glad to have you back with KishoriTV,
Kishorit's community television channel.
On today's program, we'll take a look
at the Kishorit 2009 straw poll
for the 18th Knesset elections.
We'll meet Noa Yitzhak
and hear about her job at Kishorit.
We'll see what therapeutic riding at Kishorit is all about.
We'll accompany our friend Amit Cohen
as he performs at Beit Bratt Senior Citizens' Residence
and we'll join our friend Amir Wilk
for a day's work at Kochav Center.
But first, a local news roundup.
Here's our report.
This year, like every year,
when Tu Bishvat, the tree holiday, arrived,
we celebrated in the traditional Kishorit way.
"Today in the field
"I heard how the grass sprouts.
"Silence. No wind.
"The leaves do not stir.
"But in the sky, between the blue and the clouds,
"the sun laughs with golden laughter."
A lone cypress tree
faces fire and water.
A lone cypress tree,
extending up to the heavens.
A strong lone cypress tree,
if only I could learn
the ways of one tree.
We had a special evening program at Kishorit.
A Shanti Evening.
Participants were split up into groups and proceeded
from one station to the next, each with its own special treat.
May He who grants peace on high
grant peace unto us.
"Welcome, Sabbath, welcome.
"Bring us rest and serenity
"after a hectic week of hard work.
"Give us the space in which to weave
"countless dreams, together and individually.
"Give us a time of forgiveness,
"when we may hear
"the heartbeat of others.
"Welcome, Sabbath, welcome.
"Blessed be your Creator, blessed be your light."
And let us say Amen.
Recently, we began welcoming the Sabbath
with songs, readings
and candle lighting, of course.
Sabbath greetings to all!
May He grant peace, may He grant peace...
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe,
who has sanctified us... and commanded us to light Sabbath candles.
Amen. -Amen.
May He grant peace, may He grant peace...
to us and to all Israel.
May He grant peace, may He grant peace...
to us and to all Israel.
May He grant peace, may He grant peace...
to us and to all Israel.
May He grant peace, may He grant peace...
to us and to all Israel.
And here's another big little breakthrough -
our pastry chef Nil Yaron
is not just a baker
but an entrepreneur.
We saw how popular his creations are at Kishorit
and then make a decision...
Together with Hagar and the kitchen staff, we decided
to continue working
with an eye towards sales,
both locally and elsewhere.
The granola cookies cost 16 shekels,
the chocolate chip cookies cost 14.50
and the tehina cookies cost 12.
I know that this type of cookie sells better...
They'll sell faster than if I bring in something
that you can buy in any store.
Essentially, my message is
to show that even special people
can produce such items.
Can you do that? -Yes, I can.
We tasted it and we said: "Good work!"
