we talked yesterday this Ines Sainz story about the movie theater where
a former police captain shot a moviegoer dead because the moviegoer was texting
is three-year-old daughter during the previews well
now box new psychiatrist doctor Keith Ablow
he's the same guy from the medical a team as they call it
who brought us the story that Joe Biden
after his vice presidential debate may be suffering from dementia
and may have been drinking of course with absolutely no evidence to suggest
that very responsible story
now he is actually taking to the airwaves on Fox News
his theory Louis is that what should we blame for this
absurd shooting where a sovereign patriotic former police officer
responsible gun owner
shot a moviegoer dead because if the tax thing he says hold on
instead of talking about guns I'm gonna blame smartphones and paid-up
rage data rage listen to this
I can say is I think we may have to look at something all called data
rage just like road rage we know that when people interact with machines
that sometimes they feel emboldened to do things that they never would
they can be tremendously frustrating and that people who
could be vulnerable up by the way they may be impulsive to begin with the
explosive
ad in technology or machine and things can go over them
I you know over the top of that they can become very violent but I travel I
should say it sounds like you're blaming the victim I mean if the victim here
who was not at all actually texting and me
%uh suspected shooter was ticked off it may be
his movie viewing was interrupted and then they'd had this
exchange verbal altercation and then the
the victim allegedly tossed some popcorn through some popcorn
at the listener and the shooter acted we've got a blame the shooter here but
in understanding it we've got to say wow that's interesting there was a machine
involved
now we also know that in Range Road rage there's a car involved people seem
to beat dehumanized by the presence of this car
%uh and the right I'm all love the
ingredients Louis for a delicious backed re
word salad thrown in there what the I
were I just don't even know what to say right
and if you believe that what's the answer maybe we should just get rid of
all cell phones in our cars in all machines that everything will be I
happy and safe write more guns have course I mean a pillar obtuse at let
let's listen to what Keith Ablow is saying let's really break it down
a so-called pillar of society a respected former police captain
flew into a rage after conversing with a day to producing machine
a smartphone felt threatened by the data
the information was very threatening to him and he needed to protect himself
and in so doing he killed one person and wounded another
pretty reasonable hypothesis Louis yeah
yeah he he talks about machines being part of the neck said
well at the phone is a machine that people get road rage cars are machines
then you know what
a gun is a machine to so I think you forget about that at no point does
doctor Keith Ablow even entertain the idea
that it is the firearms in movie theaters that maybe are causing the
death
rather than rage against data it sounds like it there should be
some kind of a rage against the machines on about the oppression and information
information just is really infuriating Louis
I you know what I don't know it sing about that but I'd love some new
material from
this may not be the first incident involving gay rage into actually Louis
that this specific police kept former police captain was involved in
after this story hit the news a woman actually came forward today and said to
police
that this same guy started arguing with her
for texting in the same movie theater
three weeks ago this guy as absurd as it is not to consider guns as
the actual problem here the idea that this guy might have a problem with the
data
is not that far-fetched as absurd as the theory as a medical theory is
while it seems that woman got pretty lucky when people interact with machines
sometimes Louis they feel emboldened to do things they never would said Keith
Ablow
that might explain key pablo's absurd theories that seem to come from his
mouth whenever the cameras go on
those machines must really be altering his balance or something
he's right in a way because it back I didn't have that guy in
I doubt he would have attempted to kill this guy
