Now we are ready to finish off our vase. If you are like me and you like little details
you might want to take your thumb and make a nice little impression where you connected
it. It is not necessary. You can also smooth it out completely but I like that little detail.
Another very important thing to do is you want to roll this back and forth to stretch
out the slab a little bit more. The reason for this is that as the clay shrinks it is
going to get closer to this form. You want to be able to pull this form out and the only
way to do that is if you give yourself a little bit of extra space. So now you are going to
take your circle, wet the exterior and score it up. Do the same to the bottom of your vase.
Set it right on top
and then just press it right into it. Once you have got that done you are going to let
this part set up until it is about leather hard and then you will pull your form out.
Once you have done that you can finish up the lip and that is what I will show you next.
