The Rock Your Jeans Challenge is a brand new weight loss program that we started here at Columbia Association for this fall.
It's an eight-week program utilizing a partner system. Where you will train once a week with your partner with a personal trainer.
In addition to that you're going to be given some nutritional advice utilizing our brand new health and wellness journal.
What's unique about this program is that we've partnered with Macy's. So were going to do this weigh loss program in conjunction with a fashion show.
The goal is for you to loose two jean sizes in a period of 8 weeks and we do that with personal trainers and nutritional and at the end those winners are in line to receive some fabulous prizes from Macy's.
So our program is a eight-week program where you will be meeting once a week with your personal trainer.
Not only will you be getting that personal one on one service's in your partners setting, but also your trainer is going to help you with your nutritional counseling as well.
We've got a brand new book that we are introducing that's going to help you loose those two jean sizes within that eight-week period.
Well I know nutrition and fitness are important and I've been concentrating on it since I went to the doctor and found out that I shrunk a few inches.
So I know I need to build my bone density up and I think that I have and I'm just working on being healthier and feeling younger and better about myself.
For me I wanted to loose weight get under 200 pounds. I was hoping to loose 20 25 and I did that in about the first five months, I still have a ways to go but I feel so much better where I'm at right now. 0:02:27.3I think doing the program The Biggest Winner was wonderful to get us motivated, get in the gym and working with a team. Our trainer really introduced us to so many things about the gym that I didn't know about.
I can tend to slack off very easily, but knowing that I have a team of four wonderful women waiting for me to exercise and a great trainer it got me to the gym every morning and I just love being with them.
We complemented each other a lot.
There's something to be said for accountability when your working out with a buddy and weather you feel like going or your want to talk yourself out of it or sleep in.
To know someone else is going to show up for you makes you kinda say I've got to do that for them. If I can't do it for myself I will do it for them.
Well I think just the fact that I feel better, feel stronger and I can wear my clothes and the friendships that we've formed.
What will keep me motivated knowing there is a support system, a team, a trainer that can help and these wonderful CA gyms that are so accesable.
My main motivation is that I am a new mom and I want to be a great example for my son being healthy and active. So that would be my main motivation for coming here and working with Gail.
I tailor my workout for my clients based on their needs. Since everybody's different all the workouts are going to be different.
I get to know my clients really well and once I know what they like and what they can do and what their interest are that's when I decide what kind of workout their going to do.
I try to always incorporate the different aspects of fitness. I do cardio, I do some weight training, flexibility, stretching, I try to incorporate a little bit of everything into their program.
Gail kept me motivated by every time I'd come to my sessions we would do a weight check in and since I had a strict goal that I was trying to reach in a small period of time that was always a motivating factor.
I wanted to see that number come down and I wanted Gail to be proud and so it was always always important to me that the number was coming down and
never staying the same and so had I not had that I don't know if I would always been so strict with my diet and keeping a journal and coming to the gym every single night and being as good as I was.
and Michelle was able to reach her goals because she really did pay attention and she did exactly what I told her which was wonderful and she was able to achieve her goals so I am really proud of her.
