Today we're going to look at the Infinity 4000 safety pool cover system from pool cover
specialists. This has several main components which we we'll look at today. There is the
power unit which is this one which converts the 230v AC into 24v DC at 31 amps. This is
quite a high-powered unit as you can see it's got quite large cables that feed the motor.
And if you do need to extend these cables it's very important to get the correct size,
bearing in mind it's low voltage 24v at 31 amps. So the cables would have to be calculated
correctly. The cable then feeds the motor drive as we said. And inside the canister
is the PCB which controls the whole system which is potted to make it waterproof. And
the canister is also sealed to make it waterproof. The motor then drives the gearbox in the middle.
And the gearbox drives the dog drive in here. And the dog drive picks up the different rotations
of the motor to drive the tube cover on the end here to open the pool. Or the drums and
the pulleys and the ropes to close the pool. This is a left hand unit with the motor at
the left the pool cover would be on the right looking down the pool. If you wanted it to
be the opposite handed version so the motor would be on the right hand side of the pool
we would simply change the dog drive in it before it comes out to you. There are several
brackets for mounting it which are fully adjustable. And they can be taken off and moved to make
sure this cradle is fitted very securely. There is quite a lot of torque when this is
operating and this must be fitted securely. There are also the electronics of the control
system which we will run through in a future video to give you some more insight into that
one. It comes with an owner's manual for you to leave with the owner and full installation
instructions which are all readily available for the unit. We hope this has been a bit
of insight into how the system works for you today and if you have any more questions regarding
this please do not hesitate to contact us.
