Hello Привет!
Today i would like to talk about the conjunctions in the russian language.
The most important and the most frequently used in the russian language is "И".
"И" we translate in the english language as AND.
For example, i have Вилка и Ложка . A fork and a spoon.
И. Вилка и ложка.
Маша и Андрей студенты (Masha and Andrei are students)
Мы танцуем и поем. (We dance and sing).
Another very useful conjunction is "НО" .
"НО" means BUT . For example, i would like to go but i dont
know, when i will be able to. Я бы хотел пойти, но я не
знаю, когда я смогу. Another very important conjunction is "A".
About the meaning, sometimes it can be translated as AND,
sometimes it can be translated as BUT. It is abit complicated.
For example, it is not a fork, BUT it is a spoon.
Это не вилка, а ложка. Another example, Я говорю по-русски,
а ты? I speak russian, and you?
Here you can see that the conjunction A has the meaning AND.
