Hello and welcome How to Liveable tutorials! My YouTube channel where I create tutorials
based on whatever I happen to be thinking about at the time. Today we're going to do
a quick tutorial on how to make microwave popcorn without microwave popcorn and this
has actually blown people's minds and I've explained that to them so I'll explain it
to you now. The two ingredients you need to make microwave popcorn without microwave popcorn
are a brown paper lunch bag and guess what, popcorn kernels let's get started really quickly
the story behind how I discovered that this would work was I was broke one day several
years ago and all I had in my house were popcorn kernels and maybe some peanut butter or something
and I just decided to try it. Put the kernels in the bag and see what happened and miraculously
not surprisingly it worked so what you want to do with your bag is open it up, take the
kernels, pour some in, don't pour too many in because you actually need surprisingly
few kernels. Typically what I would do is I fill the bottom of the bag so that it's
evenly coated when you lay it flat then the key I've found was folding over the top a
couple times so that it keeps the hot air in the bag as it opens up and you don't want
to fold it over too many times otherwise it might fall down. You want to leave the bag
some room to grow in the microwave and let the kernels expand so let's move on to the
exciting part putting it in the microwave I usually start with 2 minutes and see how
it goes from there. When in doubt stop early don't go for too much gusto, sounding pretty
good there so I'm actually going to stop it right at the 2 minute mark here sometimes
I might go for a little bit more but I'm actually pretty happy with how this is looking, that
sounds good to me let's check it out. Now for the moment of truth did it work, did it
pop, oh my gosh it did look at those beautiful fluffy delicious kernels can I focus on that
to see it, see here I think so. Wow, that's amazing so it totally worked regular popcorn
inside the microwave all you got to do is pop it yourself and isn't that fun. If you're
really cheap, if you're really desperate, you can take the kernels that u popped and
eat them and then at the bottom there's usually a few that didn't make the full transition
so you can throw them back in your bag and put them back in the microwave and pop them
again and they will actually be edible at some point so happy popping. Thanks for tuning
in.
