Hi, my name's Deborah and we will be creating swirled dyed Easter eggs. Basically make your
regular dye which we made food coloring dye and, and made these eggs with plain color,
now we're going to add some vegetable oil to the water. There's really no specified
amount but just a table spoon or two should do it. And I am going to take my hard boiled
egg and I want to stir the water while I'm putting the the egg in it, and it'll kind
make it swirly colored. It's getting sort of spotty colored. Woo hoo, see how that came
out. It's a little bit partially colored and partially not colored. Dip it a little bit
more. So now we have an egg that's sort of swirly colored. It's got some speckling on
it which is what the vegetable oil does for you. Alright I'm going to try making a red
swirled one or pink swirled.
And it's doing about the same thing; it's getting little blotchies on it. Sort of swirled.
And I'm going to do it for too long or all your vegetable oil will will actually obliterate
your pattern so... So it's got kind of a swirly pattern to it.
