Hi I'm Kavita from She Wears Fashion and today I'm in London with Sunglasses Shop for a photoshoot.
Sunglasses are hugely important to my look for every day. I think it's not
just a summer trend when it comes to sunglasses, I think you can have quite a grungey trend
coming into autumn/winter and not necessarily have to think it's something that has to be
done in summer. But especially in summer, it's one of those things that I can't leave
the house without and I'm often found with four pairs of sunglasses in my bag just in
case - because you need to be able to match it with whatever outfit and
there are so many different styles out there that it's so easy to find one that will fit
for that day.
This summer I think my trends that I've been absolutely loving would be everything to do
with festivals - crop tops and rucksacks and wellies and big boots and especially sunglasses, particularly
Ray-Bans which have been made hugely popular by celebrities especially for festivals. If
you were going to pick one brand that represents festivals in the sunglasses area, I think
everybody knows that they want a pair of Ray-Bans when they're at a festival because they'll
be the one that stands out the most.
What I love about the Wayfarer is that it has such a classic style and you can wear
it in so many different ways - you can dress it up when you go to a festival and it's all
quite sleek rather than being over the top. Best thing I think about it is it's just so
bold and also very rigid so, when you're wearing it, it's the stand out piece in your outfit
rather than fading into the background.
What I love about the Aviator is how much it represents summer. To me, the classic frame
just emanates everything that I feel about summer when i look into it, especially the
mirrored version. It just represents the sun and reflection and it just makes you feel
super happy and it's also really feminine at the same time - which you don't usually
find because a lot of men wear aviators but actually when a woman wears them it just makes
her look really feminine and gorgeous but at the same time looking really cool as well.
The celebrities that I admire are the people that push the boundaries. People like Rihanna
and Rita Ora - I think they mix so many different styles together like girly and grungey and
I think that's what's really great about being able to pair different accessories. There
can be one accessory like sunglasses and you can do it girly or boyish - it's not one dimensional,
there are so many different ways to style things and I think they get it spot on.
The thing that I love about blogging is the way you can connect with people and meet so
many different people from all walks of life with different styles. It's really inspiring
and pushes me to do things that maybe I wouldn't usually do when it comes to fashion, like
wear things in a certain way and I think that's the best thing - that they're real people,
so - there's nobody who's got so much money that they're spending on all these designer clothes
it's real people with real lives and real styles and that's the most inspiring thing.
