There are several different stories of the origins of Valentine's Day
I'd like to tell you the main one
that many years ago in the third century of ancient rome there was a
priest named valentine
who believed in the importance of love and marriage
one-day Rome's emperor Claudius II
Decided that young men who were without wife and child would make better
soldiers for his army
so decided to outlaw marriage altogether
Valentine realized the injustice of this action
He decided that he would not stop marrying young lovers and continued marrying them in
secret
Eventually
Claudius discovered Valentine's actions
and ordered Valentine be put to death
Valentine died
for a love he would not forfeit
The day that Valentine Died
is the day that we celebrate Valentine's belief in love. February 14th
I want to cut a gift card for Valentine's Day for my honey.
Ah, so you have a girlfriend? (Yeah!)
Ah Cool
So what are you gonna do with that?
Well I use this piece of paper to cut
A heart
and I will write some words... some loving words on it
good!
It's also what Americans do on Valentine's Day
Have you ever received a Valentine?
I didn't
Previously I didn't have a girlfriend
This is the first time
We should think of what to write!
You can start
cutting
and see what we can write
to your girlfriend. Do you want me to help you? (Yes)
Tell me what you like about her
about her personality
Hmm those things...
Is she kind? Yes...
So she's kind.
Is she funny?
No, not very funny. An indoor girl
She likes being indoors
Can you write it?
What about... think about her face
Do you like her eyes
Do you like her face?
Her beaming eyes. (Whoa, that's nice Kun)
Would you like to write a message? Like a love message?
If this year is really
...at the end of this year 2012...
then let's spend our life together.
Write a love message
Remember this is a very important and sweet
Day that we are celebrating
Oh, that's so sweet!
Do you wanna see that?
So sweet.
so we'd all be
your girlfriend
the best valentine's card ever
okay? good!
Thank you for sharing this with me!
