Australia's Million Paws Walk supports animals in need. This year's 18th annual event, sponsored
by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), brought together
some 15,000 animal companions and human caregivers for a charity walk that raised over US$320,000
for the care of animals in rescue situations. In the walk held in the city of Perth, the
state government of West Australia also pledged a doubling of annual support to US$500,000.
Dressed in animal costumes, our Association members also collaborated with the Animal
Liberation Australian Capital Territory in passing out SOS Flyers, vegan and Stop Animal
Cruelty pamphlets.
Kudos, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, human and animal participants
for your efforts to raise awareness and support for our animal friends. May the boundless
care and forever gratitude of all such precious companions be realized through their welcome
into forever loving homes
