Today we’ve got a recipe that’s sure to keep you out of the dog house...at least with one member of the family!
We’re talking about the 4-legged kids...like Lenny here.
So today, we’re making something just for him: venison dog biscuits.
Mix together whole wheat flour, cornmeal, and wheat germ, and set it aside.
Then blend ground venison, beef broth, vegetable oil, an egg, and salt.
Then add the dry ingredients and mix.
Roll out the dough until its about a half an inch thick and cut it into your favorite shape.
I kind of like to use this bone-shaped cookie cutter, but I don’t think the dog will even notice!
Probably not!
Bake the biscuits in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 35 minutes, until they’re crispy.
After they’re cooled, you’ll need to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Whether you have a hard-working hunting dog
or just a spoiled family pet...these treats won’t last long!
