I will walk you through my site in just a couple of minutes. Before I get to the site,
I wanted to make sure that you know about the blog that exists about the Canvas pilot.
This is a very nice introduction written by Andrew Rivers. He is in Physics. He is also
one of the people who is piloting Canvas. I love his description, the stages he described:
anticipation, panic, and satisfaction. That's exactly what happened to me. I wanted to take
you through these stages and explain to you why I decided to participate in the Canvas
pilot, how I used Canvas, and then I'll tell you a little bit about what the students are
thinking and how they reacted to Canvas. I guess in late August we had a session for
people in the pilot. A Canvas employee walked us through Canvas, how to use it, what you
can do with it. By the end of the session, I walked up to Les and said, "There's no way
I can do this. I cannot in three weeks build a site in Canvas. No way." Then I went home
and I got a good night's sleep and I remembered why I wanted to do this. So I emailed Les
and said, "Ok, I can do it." I calmed down.
