It happened in the middle of December, I went biking with one of my buddies.
I bought my bike a couple of days earlier.
The policeman stopped me.
And started: lamps, bells - whatever is required for bicycles...
..and he said he'll fine me.
I didn't accept the charges, and so he pressed charges, and I got a fine for 10.000 HUF (Hungarian currency).
The charge stated
that I was cycling in the middle of the road, and I did not have a lamp.
In broad daylight.
It happened around 11 a.m.
Were you cycling in the middle of the road?
No, we were cycling on the side of the road.
My buddy accepted the charges, and he got a fine for 5000 HUF,
I didn't, so I got a fine for 10.000 HUF.
How many times has something similar happened?
This was the second time.
And the first time?
That...happened in the beginning of September.
Actually in broad daylight, because it was 7 p.m.
A bike mounted with lamps and everything, and still he fined me that time as well.
He justified it by saying that in his opinion it was twilight, and the lamp should have been switched on.
Even though the street-lights weren't on yet either. No lights were on yet.
Then he said he was obliged to fine me, and fined me for 10.000 HUF.
However I denied the charges.
Then I got the paper stating
that I was cycling in the middle of the road - the same story again -
and so they fined me for 10.000 HUF again.
