Hi, we’re at Alice Springs Road Transport Historical Society for the 2013
Hall of Fame celebrations. As part
of that this morning we’ve had the 2013 Shell Rimula
Wall of Fame induction ceremony
where this morning we had over 100 new inductees
into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.
It was certainly a moving ceremony this morning and
testament to the hard work that these operators, drivers and their families have put in to
keep Australia moving in recent years.

We are here today to
acknowledge a new group of legends of the road transport industry.
Their hard work and dedication to keep this country moving.
I’m sure their stories and achievements will both inspire
and humble us all. Without you, Australia would not be the country that it is today. So on behalf Shell Australia,
we want to thank you for your commitment to the industry.
We’re pleased to announce that Ray Scott,
Scott’s Transport, one of the leading transport organisations in Australia
based in Mount Gambier is the first Icon in the Industry
put to the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.
We congratulate Ray and his family on this outstanding achievement.
Shell Australia have been a proud sponsor of the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame since the year 2000.
And we see it as a key event to record and promote the stories and hardworking activity within the Australian road transport sector.
Music
At Shell we are awed by the passion and dedication that all the inductees have shown the road transport industry.
We certainly value your feedback and your opinions, and this helps us improve and shape our products and services.
We’d like to take the opportunity to thank
Liz Martin and her board 30 00:02:17,600 --> 00:02:21,800 on their fantastic efforts in continuing to evolve the event and
we look forward to continuing our support of the Alice Springs Road Transport Society in coming years.
Thanks to everyone that’s attended this year’s event and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
