My names are Apolo Omondi from Kibuye Zingira village youth bunge.
We recycle materials which are harmful to the environment,
we convert them to these beautiful products that you are now seeing.
We started around year 2012
but it was started earlier, its only that we had not come together as one group like making a bunge.
You find that when you are working alone,
the production was too low.
Yes Youth Can came in
and helped us so much.
It helped us come together,
its has helped us get a grant, it has helped us in terms of training and in terms of linkages.
In a month, what
we can make as a group,
when there is good sale in a month we can make fifty thousand (KShs 50,000), or even more that fifty thousand depending on the season.
My name is Redempter Kojea
I am
one of the members of Kibuye Zingira village youth group.
I want to thank USAID
very much
for brining us together as youths.
Since, we have got employment.
We have been brought together and idleness and other immoral things that can be done by youths,
they have been eradicated
and I thank them very much,
may they continue with the same spirit.
We are grateful for the American people for what they have done or what they are trying to do for Kenyan youths.
What they are doing
is exposing youths, is also helping youth
to at least earn a better standard of living.
