Did you know that packing your lunch is a great way to trim your budget and your waistline?
We'll show you how to make nutritious and fun meals on this Project Health.
Packing a lunch for work or school is a great way to control portions and have healthier
food. First, plan ahead to stock your pantry with
smart and healthy food choices. You want to include foods from at least three
of the five major food groups. Consider a tossed salad with lean tuna and
a whole grain roll and some fruit. Involve your children in packing their lunches
so you can help them make health food choices. And consider packing lunch the night before
so you avoid that last minute throw-in of sweets or snack chips.
Don't overpack your lunch, and get a fun lunch bag or containers with dividers so icepacks
can keep your meal fresh. To learn more about making nutritious meals,
