Cholesterol- and Triglyceride-lowering Supplements By Dr. James Meschino, DC, MS, ND
I want to talk to you about a very important subject and that is cholesterol triglyceride
lowering supplements. You know the good news about bad cholesterol is that you can lower
your bad cholesterol in many cases by just following the low saturated fat diet and by
using the natural cholesterol triglyceride lowering supplements. But before I talk about
them, I just want to bring to your attention that there are also cholesterol lowering foods.
Foods that contain a type of fiber but acts like a cholesterol magnet that clings to the
cholesterol intestinal track and they bile acids, which are the building block of cholesterol,
drags them through the body. So when you have bile moving you drag some of these building
blocks of cholesterol out of the body. What foods help the lower cholesterol like that?
The foods that have this cholesterol lowering fibers are peas and beans, apples, peaches,
pears and plums, psyllium husk fibre, ground flaxseed. They have this cholesterol lowering
magnet effect that everybody should be aware of. But there are two natural cholesterol
lowering supplements that I think you should know about as well - they are gum guggul and
artichoke leaf. Gum guggul is a resin from the mukul myrrh tree which was first discovered
for this purpose in India actually, where it's actually a pharmaceutical drug to lower
cholesterol. What gum guggul does is it gets delivered to clear more cholesterol from the
blood stream and metabolize it so your blood cholesterol drops down; you're less prone
to heart disease and other vascular conditions. Gum guggul has virtually no side effects and
is completely safe, highly effective. And so is artichoke leaf. What artichoke leaf
does is that it flushes cholesterol through the liver into the gall bladder and then to
the intestinal track. So when you have a bowel movement you're losing more cholesterol from
your body and bile acids, so your blood cholesterol keeps going down and down. How much effective
can they be? Gum guggul and artichoke leaf can lower your cholesterol by up to 27% and
can lower triglycerides by up to 30% - clinical studies have shown that.
So if you've had a problem with high cholesterol triglycerides in the past, than using a combination
product with both gum guggul and artichoke leaf is really your best bet. The beauty of
it is that you can use it in combination with cholesterol lowering drugs, if it's necessary
to do. You can learn more on this subject which i
think is vitally important by reading the literature that I’ve on meschinohealth.com
