Tonight we're in the Briggait which is one of Glasgow's most historical sites
and we're now using it as a cinema, we've turned it into a pop up cinema.
So we've made a collaboration with Street Food Cartel who are Glasgow's most exciting street food vendors
They do a lot of pop-up event's in really
exciting places and so do Glasgow Film Festival, so it made sense for us to bring film and
food together for a pop-up event.
Tonight we're showing Martin Scorcese's finest film Goodfellas.
Which obviously has some amazing food scenes in it
and is also just a classic gangster film.
Over the next couple of days we're also showing the classic rom-com 'When Harry Met Sally'
which has the amazing diner scene that everyone remembers and is one of the most quotable
scenes in cinema and we're also showing Withnal And I, another
quotable film, which features more drink than food but is also one of the classic British films.
We're just delighted to be bringing it to the big screen in the Briggait.
People love going to the movies, they love the ritual of popcorn and eating,
Glasgow people are real foodies, they're also massive film fans.
Glasgow's one of the most important cities for cinema in the UK.
