Hi. I’m KiKi L’Italien and I’m senior technology consultant for DelCor Technology
Solutions, and I am here today with – Norm Hawn. I’m the vice president and chief
security officer for Prison Fellowship. And?
Dana Giddens, former vice president of non-profit for CorePartners, and new strategic partner
under 20/20 Consulting. We’re here today to talk to you about why
we like to go to ASAE’s technology conference every year, and, for me, I can say that I
really enjoy the duality of presentation and, also, being able to meet people in person
and, you know, talk to them face-to-face instead of just communicating with them online. What
I really love is that this year I get to do a little bit of both of those things. I get
to actually teach people about podcasts and how to create them, um, right for them, right
from their desktops, and so, um, I’m excited about it for this year, and why are you excited
about it? I’ve been a multi-year attender, and I think
what I really appreciate about the technology conference is not just the depth and the breadth
of the sessions that are available to learn, but the depth and the breadth of the relationships
that you build while you attend this conference. Um, I really do appreciate the fact that I
go year after year and I see some of the same folks, but even more exciting for me is you
meet new folks, and you get to new, uh, see new ways of solving old problems, old ways
of solving new problems, and it’s just a very unique opportunity to come together and
share that information amongst the attendees. Okay.
I agree. I think that probably my favorite part about it, and it has been for year in
year in year in and out, has been the collaboration. It is such a unique opportunity, and it’s
expanded so much over the years, where it used to just be the techies, all of us talking
to ourselves, and there was certainly a lot to be gained, but we’ve watched it expand
so much over the years to include the C-level to C-suite guys and girls, and really expand
out. And the collaboration and the opportunity to share, um, successes and failures, and
challenges and rewards and accomplishments in that environment, that very concentrated
environment, is really what draws me back year after year, is the opportunity to collaborate,
whether it’s in a session and providing information directly, or, you know, cocktails
at the water cooler afterward, um, just sharing your ideas and your thoughts with someone
you didn’t know had similar challenges. I think that’s what draws me back each year.
Yeah, I definitely think that the collaboration is key, and that’s why we think that you
should join us at the tech conference this year. Um, I’ll be there, you’ll be there
– I will be there, and we’ll look forward
to seeing – You’ll be there?
I will be there. I’ll be there. And we look forward to seeing you.
