Hello everyone. So it's currently around April 22 and I've just updated
my Facebook app, on my Android phone.
Have a look at this, there's now a camera icon. Now I've not spotted this before
but quite clear....I was like what dodgy app has been installing
software on my phone again?
But when I went in here and went to 'about'
check this out it's an official Facebook app!
Strange little thing
but anyway, how does it work?
Well, it's a very basic photo app
you can just see this I'm just going to quickly take a picture of my table
so there's a picture.
I can then tag by tapping
so let's tag myself
and then I can send it straight into Facebook.
So in some cases that's really cool but
Facebook, why a separate icon?
Why not just hook into the Android camera directly?
or you know, use the share options built in to the Android camera or
use any of the integrated features built into Android and the Android camera app.
Did we need yet another icon Facebook? I don't think we really did. Not when
you've got a widget on your homescreen with a one click button to take you into the camera.
Be interesting to hear what other people think of this but I'm a bit Meh! Why?
Especially given that they've just bought Instagram as well! Come on!
