Today we will nake karonda mirch.
Let's see what all ingredeints are required fo rmaking karonda mirch.
Karonda - 100 grams
Green chilly - 50 grams
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida -2-3 pinch
Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Fennel powder - 1
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Cut karonda and chilly.
Cut one karonda into 2 pieces only.
Wash karonda and green chilly thoroughly before using.
Now cut the chilly with scissor like this as it might harm the skin if you use a knife for cutting.
Cut the chilly length wise like this with help of a scissor.
You can also cut chilly in small pieces if you prefer eating small pieces.
For making karonda mirch preheat a pan and add 2 tbsp oil in the pan.
When oil gets hot add asafoetida,cumin seeds,fenugreek seeds and carom seeds.
Saute until they turn brown in color.
More oil is used for making karonda mirch as they are served as pickle and chutney.
Now add turmeric powder,coriander powder,fennel powder,garam masala,karonda-mirch and salt.
Add all spices altogether and cook for 3-4 minutes only.
Cover it and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
It takes very less time in making karonda mirch.
Serve as pickle along with sabzi.
You can also even have them as it is without sabzi.
All spices are mixed nicely now cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Karonda mirch is ready.
We have used 100 grams karonda and 50 grams green chilly for making this dish..
They can be stored in refrigerator for 7 days and 3-4 days outside refrigerator.
