Todays slimy recipes comes straight from
my garden
so join me
today
as wel make
slimy gummy worms
So to start of with these slimy worms into a bowl pour in
two cups of boiling hot water
and to that add a packet of strawberry jelly
and then three packets of 10 gram packets of gelatine
total of thirty grams
Give it a good stir until it is all dissolved
Once it is dissolved leave it for about half an hour
until it cools to room temperature
Next grab our straws
It doesn't matter what colour straws, it makes no difference
But the one thing that does matter is they have this bendy bit that extends
just like that
So you want get all your traws
and extend them all
Once you have extended all your straws, grab a rubber band
then tie them all up
Just so their all together
next with a container
preferably a
thin container
So stick the straws in the middle like so
next with our thickened cream
about half a cup
pour that in
then pour in about
fifteen drops of green food colouring
then mix to combine
roughly combined
Don't over mix it
Next what we want to do it
put some of the mix into a
pourable container
and just pour it
into our straws
just like so, now
we will leave it like that so it will be about
that full
then place this into the freezer
for about twenty minutes
just until it firms up
then we can fill up the rest of the straws. The reason why I'm doing it this way is because if i try
to fill it up
too we are going to waste most of it on the inside here
and not as much will be in the straws. This way we can rise it up higher with the straws.
So place it in the freezer for about twenty minutes
So as you can see it is all nice and set there
it's not moving too much
so now
its just a simple matter of
filling up the rest of the straws
So once you have filled all your straws
Place this in the fridge for a good three hours to completely set.
I have just taken these out of the fridge
Theres still some jelly
left on the out side
So just take that off
okay so
The best way to get these out that i have found
is to put them under water for about
two to three seconds
so warm to hot tap water
two to three seconds
then they should just
slide right out
so give that a go
So i have just had this under water
Pinch on the end here
then squeeze it down
just so it comes out
and there we have our worm
now as you can see from one of these
they feel like worms to
They have those ridges there just like worms so keep on doing these until their
all done
And they are done
Look at those
we really do look like
green worms
especially with all these ridges here
they look fantastic
im telling you
this feels exactly like worms are in my fingers right now
This will defiantly be a treat for any
kid
or adults alike
